4: Blogtober: WHAT IS YOUR BOAT?

My church is doing a series called, YOUR GOD IS TOO … (insert any limitation we’ve placed on the Most high!)

Today the topic was, Your God is too SAFE! The topic was basically about being courageous in our walk with Christ. Having the courage to get out of our safety zone and full on trust God and follow God.

The big question today was, what is your boat?

Your boat is whatever represents safety and security to you apart from God himself. Your boat is whatever you are tempted to put your trust in, especially when life gets a little stormy. Your boat is whatever keeps you so comfortable that you don’t want to give it up even if it’s keeping you from joining Jesus on the waves. Your boat is whatever pulls you away from the high adventure of extreme discipleship.- John Ortberg

I realized I have a few boats in my life and I need to get up out of them. Your boat can be a job, parents approval, a relationship, peer approval, etc… So I leave you with this question, what is your boat?

I’m praying about getting out of a few boats myself, if you want us to pray for each concerning this topic, contact me!! I’m always always available to pray for and with you, if you have any prayer requests.

till tomorrow
much love
