Dear Me: a message to my younger self

dear me youtube tagDear Me,

Let me start by telling you that you will grow to become a caring, loving, gentle spirit. You won’t stop crying because you feel everything so intensely and I don’t know why God created you like that, but know that there is nothing wrong with you. All the days you would wished you were dead will be a thing of the past because you chose life and you discovered that the phrase “nobody cares about you,” is A LIE and comes from the enemy.

You’ve done and said stupid things but who cares?! None of it will matter, honestly you will forget most of it.

The days and nights you cried yourself to sleep and woke with swollen eyes because your parents wouldn’t let you do and go places where EVERYONE (U thought) went, will all make sense. I can tell you that It created a sense of self for you. You learnt how to be by yourself and enjoy your alone time. It thought you to only have meaningful friendships and not just tons of friends.

Dear me, sweet beautiful girl, there is nothing wrong with your body, there is nothing wrong with your nose or your face in general. The right and honest people will always find you beautiful and you will come to have great knowledge of inner beauty and you will have it in abundance.

All those sad days will mold you into a wonderful person who encourages and uplifts others because my darling, you’ve learned to do those things for yourself.

I want you to know that you will grow to know that “you are treasured, you are sacred, you are His” -mercy me- and that is ALL that matters. Your source of strength to get on in life won’t come from people being your friend or by your parents letting you go out, it will come from God.

And stop worrying you will find love.

Lastly, I am so proud of who you are at this age. Don’t stop seeking purpose and God.

Love you so very much,
Me!

What will you tell your younger self?
